Amerivespa 2023 In Flagstaff Az: It's A Vespa Thing!

Join us at AmeriVespa 2023! One of the key's to happiness as Empty Nesters is sharing common hobbies. For us, we LOVE to ride our Vespas. Hey, It's a Vespa Thing! And this year, the Vespa Club of America hosted their annual event right in our backyard! (I mean, not LITERALLY in our backyard, but in our town of Flagstaff, AZ. You know what I mean!) AmeriVespa 2023 was held in Flagstaff, AZ this year, and we were so excited to go experience it with other scooter fanatics. I've never done anything like this before (I = Jacki. Mark's done lots of group rides on all sorts of vehicles over the years). Anyway, we LOVED the ride to Jerome. We went through Sedona and ended up getting separated from the big group. But since we've taken this route LOTS of times, we knew where we were going and even had a few people follow us through Page Springs (wine country and vineyards...it's beautiful). We ended up being among the first people to make it to Jerome. That's where we met Michelle from Tucson and hung out with her for lunch at Haunted Hamburger and exploring Jerome. She was on the search for something called Art-O-Mat, so we joined her on the hunt. We found not one, but TWO. They're recycled cigarette machines from back in the day, and now you can buy local artists' creations from them. We're blessed to live so close to the Canyon, and we needed to still work, so we met up with everyone at the Route 66 party that evening. It was hosted by Go AZ Motorcycles. There was a food truck, raffles (we even won something!), and lots of hanging out and checking out scooters. We tried on helmets, and had a blast. This was the most fun to watch...we didn't participate other than to cheer everyone on.
