Well in this video I show you two different ways to make polymer clay leaves without molds because very often we cannot find the right molds at certain time. So, the first way is with real, natural leaves. Well this way is bit harder because not anytime of the year we can find the leaves we need to make. Hard leaves are a better choice because soft ones can be easily torn. When you let the hard leaves to dry for one day, they become even harder and better for use. Now you put the leaf over the polymer clay and push and roll at same time. After the leaf is printed on the polymer clay with sharp tool you take off all the clay that you don't need, and the leaf is prepared for baking. The second way is with printed or drawn leaves by your fantasy. (I use this more because when I mix nature and fantasy the result is incredible). The technique is almost the same. You put the printed leaf on top of polymer clay and with sharp tool draw / push over the lines and that way the leaf is printed on the polymer clay. The leaf is ready for baking. After baking they are ready for painting. I use acryl colors. After they are painted I put protective wax so they cannot be easily damaged or to lose color.
