Come along as we explore some of the earliest European history in the state of Western Australia in the Goldfields region. In this trip video, we explore the Woodlines Track and surrounds south of Coolgardie. This track was used in the early 1900’s to source and transport timber to the Coolgardie and Kalgoorlie regions during the gold rush. It is estimated that the Kalgoorlie area used 350,000 tonnes of timber per year, in the form of heating, cooking, machinery, transport and mining operations. I take the chainsaw and clear up some of the fallen trees that have been blocking the track and end up camping at a track side workers camp with relics to match.
