We believe it allows you to truly experience the *real streets of China*. In quieter places with fewer people and more open space, we speak Japanese. In crowded areas such as tourist spots, we lower our voices or try speaking Chinese. 🥤 Drink featured in the video *Liang Xia (凉虾 / Liáng Xiā)* It’s a drink made from rice, similar to tapioca. It’s less chewy than tapioca and lightly sweet— the flavor is often compared to mitarashi dango (sweet soy-glazed rice dumplings). Sadashi has loved this drink since childhood. However, when Hiromi first came to China, she couldn’t finish it because she had a strong bias against the idea of *rice × dessert*. After trying it again one year later… she ended up **loving it**. It’s a very unique drink rarely seen in Japan, but in China, a large bottle costs about **200 yen**, making it one of the cheapest drinks you can buy outside— which is why it’s so popular. If you ever visit China, we highly recommend giving it a try! ✈️ About our next trip to China Since Sadashi’s family lives in China, we plan to visit **at least once a year**.
