Product Info: Monopoly Gamer Mario Kart, from Hasbro, is for 2-4 players, ages 8+. It includes a gameboard, 4 character tokens, 32 cards, 5 banana tokens, 90 coins, and 2 dice. The gameboard has the same general look as classic Monopoly but each space, card, and token is straight out of Mario's world. The instructions will guide you through all the fun specifics. Start by choosing your character: Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach or Toad. In addition to a character being your favorite, it should be noted that each one has its own special, strategic abilities. One die is a classic numbered die, the other is the Power-Up die. This prompts you to drop or pick up coins or to leave a banana that stops opponents in their tracks. Buy and rent properties like you usually would, but instead of St. James Place and Marvin Gardens, you'll find Shy Guy Falls and Bowser's Castle. Players will land on spaces like Boost Pad and Thwomp, and every time you pass go, you'll have the option to race in the Grand Prix. There's also a two-player game, and you can add more Mario Kart characters to the fun. This version may not appeal to the hardcore Monopoly player, but any Mario Kart or Nintendo fan will race to get their hands on it.
