What are Trichomes their purpose and how do they look up close?

Take a closer look into where phytocannabinoids and terpenes are found and synthesized. Hey there CBD genie here. Today I want to talk about trichomes. In the Cannabis space you will hear terms like cannabinoids for example THC and CBD as well as terpenes for example limonene and alpha pinene just to name a couple. But where are these therapeutic compounds found? Notice that frosty crystal like appearance? Those are called trichomes. In greek Trichoma means “hair” so there’s these glandular hairs on the surface of the flower. Within these glandular heads also known as capitate you will find secretory cells so theoretically that's where the precursors of cannabinoids and terpenes are synthesized.
