"Speechless" from Disney's Aladdin “Speechless” is based on actress/singer Naomi Scott portraying the role of Princess Jasmine, a character she plays in the 2019 rendition of Aladdin. They are sung within the context of Jasmine being arrested, her kingdom being overtaken by a dictator, and her quest to establish herself as a respected leader. And what she is basically telling her oppressors is that despite this situation, she will not be “speechless.” Simply put, she will not be afraid to speak out despite the position she finds herself in.
