Machine for removing olive leaves from the branch

In cooperation with local farmers and university, Herbas developed a machine for removing olive (Oleae folium) leaves from branches. Branches are usually left to dry in the field, which works great in dry winter climate on Croatian coastline. That is true for other parts of the Mediterranean as well. Olive leaf is known for it’s different uses therapeutical uses which are thoroughly studied and are being studied to this day. It can be used as a infusion (herbal tea) or in powdered form. Extracts of various bioactive compounds can be made for pharmaceutical or cosmetic purposes. Herbas can provide a complete factory solution - for all the steps from taking the leaves of the branches, until the powdered or comminuted form. First step is to separate the leaves from the branch which can be seen in this video. Then, a TBC line or pulverisation line is required eqiuipped with conveyors, dosing machines, cutters and etc. We are proud to say that we are experts in this field. TBC (Tea bag cut) is usually considered a 0,5 – 2 mm or more. A pulverisation line is equipped with mill cooled by a liquid CO2 with ATEX and produces fine powder of less than 500 microns with capacity up to 20 kg/h. For larger capacities, multiple solutions are available. Regarding line configurations, there are different options for different capacities that Herbas can offer.
