Alex Wand - Four Triangles

Four Triangles is a short track from my album Music for Dance 2017-2020. The pitches used correspond to the resonant frequencies of the piece of sheet metal in this video. Due to the phenomenon of standing waves, when these frequencies come in direct contact with the sheet metal they produce specific patterns as outlined by the sand. This music was originally written as part of a residency I did with choreographer Jay Carlon at the Annenberg Community Beach House. Thanks for listening!
