Location on Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/dTYYsCKDKYWmStEBA On the first day of new year 2022, we started our journey to Badhandarhi temple from GMNV (Tourist Rest House) Gwaldam. This temple is located at around 7 kms from Gwaldam. There is a 3-4 kms trak to the top. Badhangarhi temple (also known as Maa Badhangarhi Mandir) is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Kali, worshipped as Maa Dakshineshwar kaali or Bhagwati. People living in Tharali, Naranbagar, Dewal block of chamoli and garur, kapkot block of Bageshwar have a great faith in Badhangarhi, a popular deity in this region. It is situated in Tharali tehsil of Chamoli Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. The elevation of the top of the peak is about 2400 m. 🏔 Trisul: This is a group of three Himalayan mountain peaks of western Kumaun, Uttarakhand, with the highest (Trisul I) reaching 7120m. The three peaks resemble a trident - in Hindi/Sanskrit, Trishula, trident, is the weapon of Shiva. You can enjoy the beautiful views of Trisul from Gwaldam and other nearby places like Badhangadhi top. Brahmatal Top is also visible from this place. We enjoyed our time at the top of Badhangarhi peak. We set fire and enjoyed the beautiful views of Himalayas and other regions of Uttarakhand. 🖤 Bucket Shot: One day, I saw a picture of mighty Trisul on internet. In the picture Trisul was shining in dusk and towns/villages below were bathing in lights. I was intrigued by the beauty of Trisul and that became my bucket shot to capture. After searching on internet, I found that the photo was taken somewhere from Gwaldam. After that I always wanted to see that breathtaking view from Gwaldam. I will never forget this evening and the time when the veil of the night was falling, slowly Trisul was disappearing, and the lights from villages below were growing. The sky was adorned with stars and I was spellbound by the allure of this evening.
