नांदेड जिल्ह्यात झालेल्या अतिवृष्टीमुळे सोयाबीन आणि कापूस पिकासह केळी उत्पादक शेतकरी मोठ्या संकटात सापडले आहेत. अर्धापूर, मुदखेड आणि भोकर तालुक्यात मोठ्या प्रमाणात लागवड होणाऱ्या आणि देश-विदेशात प्रसिद्ध असलेल्या केळीचे भाव कोसळले आहेत. दोन महिन्यांपूर्वी दोन हजार रुपये प्रति क्विंटल असलेला भाव आता केवळ दोनशे रुपये दराने मिळत आहे. एका झाडाला १२५ रुपये खर्च असताना ते केवळ २५ रुपयांना विकावे लागत आहे, ज्यामुळे प्रति झाड १०० रुपयांचे नुकसान होत आहे. वाहतूक बंद झाल्याने आणि मागणी नसल्याने बागेतच केळी सडून जात आहे. तब्बल ४५ वर्षांनंतर इतका नीचांकी भाव मिळत असल्याने शेतकरी आर्थिक संकटात आहेत. The once famous bananas from Ardhapur, Mudkhed, and Bhokar have seen prices crash due to logistical disruptions. The price per quintal has plummeted from ₹2000 two months ago to just ₹200 now. With a cultivation cost of ₹125 per plant, farmers are forced to sell it for just ₹25, incurring a loss of ₹100 per plant. Lack of demand means bananas are rotting in the orchards.
