The Lord who is ever praised by sages like Patanjali and Vyaghrapada (the tiger-footed sage) He who stands in full, resplendent form, adorned with fragrant kadamba flowers in his matted locks, together with Shivakami, That Lord my own Kanaka Sabheshan (Lord of the Golden Hall),the Cosmic Dancer (Natesha) , I worship him. O my foolish heart, though you are constantly immersed and lost in the dense darkness of delusion, you do not let your misery end; having attained this rare human birth, why do you continue to suffer sorrows that exceed even the torments of hell, instead of worshipping the Lord who is bowed to by even Vishnu and Saraswathi, and who performs the blissful Ananda Taṇḍava within the sacred hall; if only you fix your vision upon him, your burning spiritual thirst will be quenched and you will attain supreme transcendental bliss, as he dances to the resounding cosmic rhythms of “tat-tarikiṭa dhim tarikiṭa dhimi taka taḷaṅgu tom takum.” ---------------------------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: These songs have been uploaded solely for listening pleasure and as an archive to preserve Carnatic music.
