So this sebaceous cyst is because of the blocked pores over the skin of body due to which there is a collection of sebum or other fluids that get accumulated in the cyst hence forming a swelling and sometimes the patient will produce pain and also redness over the swelling. Usually the sebaceous cysts are asymptomatic they only have pain and swelling sometimes but then those which get infected have severe pain and then there will be a pus discharge also. Hence we advise those swellings which have pus discharge and pain to get removed as soon as possible for sebaceous cyst the surgery which we advise is complete exit of the cyst by which there will be a complete removal of the cyst along with the wall this will produce less recurrences. So hence we advise those patients who wants to get a cyst removed to undergo an excision surgery and the recovery time will be within a week because the incision given will be very small and then the recurrence rates are very less when the cyst is completely remove. Lipomas come usually in large numbers in the body and they spread all over the body there is no part of the body devoid of having a chance of a lipoma. But these lipomas are usually painless and asymptomatic hence we do not recommend to remove all the lipomas except those lipomas which are causing pain or discomfort or an increased size to the patient the actual cause of lipomas is unknown but but there is a 2% chance of hereditary intelligence that means it may run in families but the number of people who have this kind of condition running through families is very very less but the actual cause of lipomas is not known lipomas are nothing but fat balls which get accumulated below the skin usually lipomas are asymptomatic and there are many lipomas that are present in the body so usually the patient presents with small or large swelling over the skin which may or may not pain. Usually lipomas are painless but if there's pain in lipoma that means there is a infectious condition that is happening inside the lipoma hence patients are advised to undergo surgery if they have any of the following symptoms like pain increased swelling or size or if there is any cosmetic deformity or inconvenience to the patient because of the swelling usually lipomas are benign that means non-cancerous. But sometimes long-standing lipomas which are there in the body for a very long time and fast growing lipomas do have a tendency to become cancerous over years those kind of lipomas are called liposarcomas which need an immediate intervention two different types of lipoma surgeries are advised one is complete excision of the lipoma in which a small cut is made over the lipoma and the lipoma is completely removed and stitched back even in this the stitches will be .
