Stopping in Westminster, CA to interview the legend photographer- Nick Ut; recipient of the Medal of Arts Award and the Pulitzer Prize for his work during the war in Vietnam. The power of an image. Who survives 10 years of combat without carrying a gun? The same man who arguably brought an end to the war with a single shot. Enjoy this 13 minute video I created to showcase a beautiful human being and his extraordinary courage in the name of telling a story. All pictures are credited to Associated Press. Interview conducted at Memorial Park in Westminster, CA, honoring the collaborative efforts of the American and South Vietnamese militaries and specifically, the loss of the South Vietnamese people. It was during a Vietnamese holiday and therefore inappropriate for us to move anything left at the memorial site. I wanted the angle that would reflect the American and the POW/MIA flags in the memorial.
