About Ramiro Musotto: Ramiro Musotto (La Plata, Argentina, October 31, 1963 - Salvador de Bahía, Brazil, September 11, 2009) was an Argentine composer, percussionist and music producer based in Brazil since the 1980s. After spending his childhood and adolescence in Bahía Blanca (where he studied with Carlos Giménez, played in that city's Symphony Orchestra and was a member of the groups Mate and La Cumbre), he lived in Salvador for 12 years. He then moved to Rio de Janeiro and in 2004 returned to Salvador to develop his solo career. He worked with artists such as Skank, Lenine (with whom he recorded the album live in Paris, titled "In Cité"), Marisa Monte, Marina Lima, Daniela Mercury, Os Paralamas do Sucesso, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Lulu Santos, Zeca Baleiro , Adriana Calcanhotto, Titãs, Fernanda Abreu, Sérgio Mendes, Zélia Duncan, Kid Abelha and Gal Costa. In 2001 he released his first album, Sudaka, one of the most creative and original works of electronic music produced in Brazil. Recorded at home and in hotel rooms during tours with Skank, Sudaka brings together electronic songs not intended for dance, influenced by the Anglo-Hindu Talvin Singh, based on the hypnotic repetition of the groove, and the recent electronic experimentations of Naná Vasconcelos. Ramiro Musotto died at the age of 45, due to stomach cancer detected just six months earlier.
