Happy New Year - This is my 500th Video! I hope you are all happy, safe & healthy whatever challenges you are facing right now. Time Stamps 00:00 Intro 00:12 Game Title & Intro 02:18 Round 1 03:46 Action Stage 06:00 Boss:Triceratops 06:54 Round 2 08:24 Start of Action Stage From a terrible movie tie in game to an excellent one! This is Jurassic Park on Sega Master System. Released in 1993 to tie in with the movie (not 2 years after the film like T2) & a different game to the 16 bit versions as well as the Sega CD version this is a really fun take on the movie. The same game was released on Game Gear. Lovely presentation & some top notch graphics with good use of colour, lots of parallax, good animation & good sprite work this really shows what the system could do. The first 4 areas allow you to choose the order before a 5th area opens up. Consisting of auto-scrolling driving/shooting stages (with lots of parallax) where you fed off some minor dino's before taking on a boss these allow you to add to your overall health. Once done it is on to the Action Stages which are a more traditional action platformer. The platform stages allow you to switch between weapons & utilise health packs. Fight off the escaped dino's, navigate the platform sections then confront a larger dinosaur in a boss encounter. Graphically it does a great job of capturing the "atmosphere" & environment with wind rustling the leaves & lightning setting fire to trees & electrifying the water and more. This is my original PAL copy from back in the day played through a Powerbase convertor on my CDX/MultiMega through a Retrotink 5X for ease of capture. As always if you enjoy this video let me know. As always this is running on original hardware. Also let me know if there are particular games or systems you'd like to see. As always this is uploaded under the Fair Use Policy - no money is being made from this video. Stay strong, stay safe and stay healthy - Grey Fox
