Our Kids first PADI experiences

Living on the ocean calls us to explore the underwater world. Brad and Sanna got certified as PADI Open Water and Advanced Open Water divers back in 2000-2002. Now it's the kids turn to start their PADI journeys. Luuka knew for a while that he wanted to dive as soon as he was old enough, the required 12 years of age. He started on his theory a couple of weeks before his birthday so that he could get in the water for the first time on the day he hit 12. He did his training through Eco Dive Grenada, with a fantastic instructor known as Captain Ron. Luuka was super competent from the start and loved his time on the reef. We didn't join him out at sea but heard all about it! Maija thought about her readiness for some months until one day she announced, "I'm ready. I want to do my bubble makers now." Whoop whoop! If your kids are expressing interest in diving, we thought it could be nice to see what the early steps might look like.
