Welcome to our channel at VAG Technic In this video we will be working on an Audi SQ5 with EA839 engine 3.0TFSI with single turbo. Owner contacted us with a ticking noise and after a short drive I thought it was the high pressure fuel pump. We had a spare pump in the shop so I swapped it quickly and the noise was still there. There was no other reason for the noise than the failing rocker arm. Car had no misfire , no fault codes, just low frequency noise on low rpm under acceleration. With no proof the only option was to remove the engine and have a look inside. But because warranty was involved the process wasn't straightforward. More in the video ...
