This short safety training video gives several suggestions on what to look for when doing a quick visual survey of a work area. Work areas should have two exits clearly marked, clearly visible, and they must be unblocked, unlocked and clear outside the door. Fire extinguishers must be charged, mounted and unobstructed. Mats and/or carpeting must not have any flaws or upturned edges that could cause slips, trips, or falls. Spills or wet spots can also cause a slip, trip and fall.
