Honda VFR750 RC36 Valve Clearance Check (T1-T4 Marks Explained)

In this video I check the valve clearances on a Honda VFR750 RC36 (carbureted V4 engine). Although the service manual does not require radiator removal, I remove it to gain proper access to the front cylinder head. This makes the inspection process significantly easier. In this episode: • Draining coolant and removing the radiator • Removing spark plugs to rotate the crankshaft easily • Removing front and rear valve covers • Setting crankshaft timing marks (T1, T2, T3, T4) • Measuring intake and exhaust valve clearances with a feeler gauge Factory valve clearance specifications (VFR750 RC36): Intake: 0.16 Exhaust: 0.26 This engine uses a shim-under-bucket system, so incorrect clearances require camshaft removal and shim replacement.
