Well, this one's a morbid one. From the box: "There's more to the stars than meets the eyes! This unique compilation includes rarely seen footage and covers the controversial lives of Hollywood stars whose deaths were mourned by millions! While Hollywood studio press agents tried to create flawless images, the stars' wild ways and fragile egos wrote a different story. Some had tragic lives. Some tragic deaths. Some had both! You'll see 'The Shiek', handsome, muscular Rudolph Valentino, who made women swoon so much that they named a condom after him. Hard-drinking W.C. Fields co-starred with sexy Mae West, but really raised some eyebrows in his role as 'The Dentist'. A tight-wad off screen as well as on, his distrust of banks was exemplified by his 700 savings accounts nationwide under different aliases. Bela Lugosi, who was born just 50 miles from the actual Transylvania, suffered for years as a drug addict, and upon his death was buried in his 'Dracula' costume. Tyrone Power, at 44, met the same fate as his actor father, dying on the set while filming a movie. Despite his fame, the trenchcoat and fedora-wearing Alan Ladd took his short stature too seriously. Beautiful Sharon Tate's acting in 'Valley of the Dolls' was eclipsed by her fame as a victim of the murderous Manson family. Rugged Steve McQueen battled 'The Blob', outgunned enemies in 'Wanted Dead Or Alive', escaped injustice in 'Papillion', but couldn't outrace lung cancer [ed. note: what the hell?]. George Reeves, a budding actor in 'Gone With The Wind', was cut from most of 'From Here to Eternity' after being eternally typecast as 'Superman'. Reeves eventually died under circumstances that would make any caped-crime-fighter suspicious. Equally curious was the death of Natalie Wood, star of 'West Side Story', 'Bob, Carol, Ted, and Alice' and 'Revel Without A Cause'. Her co-star, James Dean, first starred in a 1950 cola commercial, then lived fast and died young in a Porsche after filming an auto safety message. His 'Giant' co-Oscar nominee, Rock Hudson, shocked many 'Strange Bedfellows' with his death from AIDS. And Marilyn Monroe's birthday performance may have been more than just icing on the cake. It's all here - the stuff legends are made of and a whole lot more!" Released in 1990, but made in 1988. Recorded with an EasyCap, a Toshiba VCR, and OBS. Found in a Value Village somewhere. Uploaded for curiosity and preservations sake.
