This match featured Dan having to take on Joe Tavernese, and what resulted after all is said and done was one of the greatest matches ever to be televised in the 37 1/2 year run on Channel 5. Records were set on this show, bonus money was ALL over the place, pins flew in every direction in this one, and this match literally came down to the very and I mean the VERY end to determine the winner for this show. This match also allowed not just one, but BOTH bowlers to qualify for the True Value Championship show later that year after everything that happened.
