Green Corner. I’ve always had a fascination with that junction. And, coming to think of it, this fascination went beyond Globe, Strand and Vistarama ‘theaters’. Places of magic to my generation before Cineplexes et al. Green Corner felt like ground zero in our cultural development. The bad and the ugly turning into the good. Even today, whenever I pass this junction,I still feel the ‘pull’. Calypso competitions, steel bands, riots, bomb competitions , stick fighting competitions, the pilgrimage and the people.
