There are 4 major salivary glands that produce spit in the mouth: a pair of parotid glands located in the cheeks and a pair of submandibular glands located under the tongue. The video shown here depicts spit coming out of Wharton's Duct which is connected to the submandibular gland. Located under the tongue tip, this duct opening normally is about 0.5mm in diameter... very small! The channel that carries saliva to this opening is about 4mm in size. As such, the duct opening is very difficult to locate, even under high magnification... unless saliva is actually coming out!
