Heidi leads Frazzled, our peer support project for parents/carers of #SEND children. Heidi came to the very first #MothersUncovered group in 2008, when the child she's talking about was only a few months old. Her words about attending our #maternalpeersupport group? 'Mothers Uncovered saved me. There's no other way of putting it.' Heidi became a facilitator in 2014 and now leads #Frazzled. She said the other day a participant at one of our online sessions said we had saved her life. The participant works in the NHS, but doesn't feel able to talk about the challenges she faces as a parent of a SEND child at work or even within her social circle. Our online sessions for parents of SEND children take place monthly on Thursday evenings. Our in person groups at The Old Boat monthly on Wednesday mornings. We Save Lives.
