New Delhi, May 28 (ANI): German Defence Minister, Ursula von der Leyen, called on India to work in collaboration with her country on resolving the challenges posed by various facets of militancy. Speaking at a venue packed with German and Indian delegates in New Delhi, Leyen said that Germany wanted a close dialogue with India as a partner over issues of global concern. Leyen added that open societies like India and Germany could not be intimidated by militant attacks. Leyen said that collaboration between India and Germany to tackle cyber terrorism was a huge opportunity for the economies and societies of the two countries. She added that Germany was desperately looking for skilled personnel and India had that. Leyen arrived in India on Tuesday (May 26), on a three day visit, to deepen bilateral ties and focus on regional and international security and defence issues. On Thursday, Leyen will leave for Mumbai and visit the Western Naval Command in Mumbai and tour the Indian navy ships. From Mumbai she will head to Singapore to participate in the Shangri-La Asia Security Summit.
