At Magic Spangle Studios, we had the opportunity to produce this impactful animation for EngenderHealth, highlighting the critical role that health systems play in preventing and responding to Gender-Based Violence (GBV). In India, one in three women faces GBV, as revealed by the National Family Health Survey-5 (NFHS-5). This violence often leads to severe health consequences, including physical injuries, mental health challenges, and sexual and reproductive health issues. Healthcare providers are often the first point of contact for survivors, making their role crucial in identifying, treating, and offering comprehensive support services. This animation emphasizes the importance of timely intervention, psychological first aid, and the need for healthcare professionals to connect survivors with additional support, such as shelters, legal aid, and community resources. Through this animation, we aim to raise awareness about the responsibility of the healthcare sector in combating GBV and promoting violence prevention in communities.
