A journey around the remains of a World War 2 POW camp on the outskirts of Jarrahdale, No this is not the Marrinup POW camp. You can feel the history here. Its located on the Munda Biddi trail / Balmoral Track 10km from Jarrahdale down Balmoral road. Easy for a 2WD to get in. Learn about the history of the camp and what it would have been like for the prisoners of war here. A day trip out of Perth easily combined with some of the bushwalks or other activities in the area, After seeing the ruins head to the Serpentine Tavern for lunch or the Serpentine Dam cafe for a snack. Or bring your own lunch and have a break amongst the quiet surrounds of the Jarrah/banksia forest.
