Night Train (TATMR Edit)

So this was an idea I recently had. It’s pretty common knowledge at this point that Thomas and the Magic Railroad was going to have the song, Night Train included, but it was cut from the film. I decided to have a go at my own interpretation of how the song would have been in the film, using Headmaster Hastings’ cover of the song. I am aware there are a few videos like this, but there are a few aspects of the versions I saw that I wanted to avoid. 1. Some people just use the original music video of the song, without doing any edits of their own. 2. Others had the full version playing, rather than shortening it, which I think would have been more likely to happen considering the film’s version of Really Useful Engine When it came to finding clips, my original thought was exclusively using Seasons 5 and 6 as sources. S5, as it was the most recent season at the time of TATMR’s release and S6, as visually, it resembled the film the most. I also wanted to only use clips of characters that appeared in the film. That meant no footage of Edward, Duck, Oliver, or any other character that did not appear. It was only when I actually looked at both seasons when I realised how little footage there was that would work for the video. Besides Something in the air and a few shots from S6, there wasn’t much, other than the spooky episodes like Toby’s discovery and Haunted Henry. So in the end, I ended up having to use footage from other classic seasons, mainly S3 with 2 clips from S2 and a few bits from S4. I did attempt to alter the colors to look more like TATMR, but it didn’t look good at all, so I left them as they were. Regardless, this was a fun little video to put together and I hope you enjoyed it.
