The danger implied is the destructive, damning power of sin and death, Satan and his kingdom of darkness and doom. What human power is able to effect an escape from that? The security implied is that of pardon, peace, union with Christ and God in the kingdom of heaven as sons of God, children of light, heirs of heaven.
