Raag Darbari KanRa by Moumita Mitra

It often happens that we don't understand the word by word meaning of a bandish. I got this bandish from "Kramik Pustak Malika" by Bhatkhande. The lyric was: "Hajrat tore kamaan juke balabala jaiye Eri Maai peer mere sancho Shamsul Aarfin dukhadalidra Dur karana aur roshan do jahaan" In this video rendition, I have sung this lyric only. Even some of the maestros have sung the same. But I was unable to associate the exact meaning. Hence I seeked for help from Sudarshana Dhar di who, after quite a research helped me with a lyric with more sense. So the lyric might be : "हज़रत तुर्क-ए-मान झुक बलि बलि जै होँ ,एरी माई पीर मोरी साँची  शम्सुल आरफीन दुखदलिद्र दूर कर,रोशन जहां नाम तिहार" I found this variation of the lyric to be more meaningful. It is often a pain understanding or interpreting words of Traditional bandishes. So thanks to Sudarshana di for helping me with this.
