Am I Receptive to Sai Baba's Teachings?

In this interactive talk recorded on Clubhouse, spiritual teacher and author Gautam Sachdeva begins by sharing his insights on being receptive to our Sadguru's teaching. As devotees, we should ask ourselves if we are approaching the Master with an empty घड़ा (water pot), ready to fill it with the divine nectar of wisdom, or are we holding our vessel upside down, going to our Guru with our cup already filled, so that we cannot accept or take what is given to us. Gautam recounts here a story of a student and his Zen Master to illustrate this same point. Referring to Chapter 27 of the Sai Satcharita, Gautam discusses the acid test of the Ramdasi when Baba points out to him that he has not been living the teachings, for his ego taken complete control with all the trappings such as anger and attachment. In the latter part of the talk, Gautam answers questions posed by devotees on our will versus Baba's will, casting chits, non-doership, how to maintain zeal and enthusiasm in our spiritual life, and finally how one can be receptive to the teaching while not doubting the veracity of Baba's miracles.
