http://www.hospitalelbosque.com My name is Antonio Rodríguez and I am the managing director of Hospital El Bosque and El Bosque Veterinary Clinics. I have worked as a veterinarian since I completed my degree in Vet Med in 2003. I concentrated all my efforts on specializing in the study of our country's wild animals. I am currently working and collaborating on several projects for the protection and conservation of wild animals in our Mediterranean environment. I majored in the specialized field of medicine dealing withthe treatment of wild animals, birds, exotic animals and zoo animals. I have made several presentations in different congresses.Moreover, I have also collaborated closely with the department of Pharmacology with which I keep strong ties. I am still a lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology and in the AVAFES Association. In addition, I have also given lectures to veterinarians and professionals of the pet field. My clinical tasks within the hospital's organization include anaesthesiology and surgery. I have always been keen on these two areas ever since I was at university. Anaesthesiology of all the species, and with regard to surgery, operations dealing mainly with traumatology, arethe areas which I am most keen on. I coordinate the weekly meeting of the vet team where we discuss the medical protocol and the treatment that is being applied to our patients. I am in charge of the management and control of the treatment of our patients. We have also involved ourselves in other parallel projects like the opening of two channels in Youtube. One is called "Veterinario Online" but we have also recorded another channel in Youtube which is called "el como y el porque de mi mascota"; cypmascotas; which means the How and Why of Pets in which along with CUNIPIC, we make a series of videos in order to help owners of tiny rodents andlagomorphs. I must admit that I my main hobby is my job, otherwise,all this would not be possible. I live only and exclusively for the animals. Nevertheless, I also enjoy travelling. I usually travel to countries which have a tropical jungle. I also love Africa. I am currently planning an interesting trip and well,..... I always try to combine my 'holiday' tripswith at least some work. I try to go out to the countryside quite a lot, especially at the weekends which is when I have more spare time. I go bike riding and I also enjoy driving my SUV, and lately I have been attending Bikram Yoga sessions with a partner.
