IT (2017) IS TERRIFYING!! MOM & DAUGHTER REACTION!! Mama’s Geeky and her daughter Lorie dive into IT Chapter One (2017) — and it was as terrifying as ever! For Tessa, Pennywise has always been the stuff of nightmares (thanks to the original miniseries), which is why clowns still make her skin crawl. While she does enjoy these newer films, she's only watched them once before — because they scare her so much. For Lorie, this was her first time watching IT Chapter 1, and she instantly fell in love with the Losers’ Club, especially Ben. Directed by Andy Muschietti (Mama), this adaptation of Stephen King’s iconic horror novel brings the small town of Derry, Maine to chilling life. Bill Skarsgård (Castle Rock, Barbarian) terrifies as Pennywise the Dancing Clown, while the young cast — Jaeden Martell (Knives Out) as Bill, Sophia Lillis (Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase) as Beverly, Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) as Richie, Jeremy Ray Taylor (Goosebumps 2) as Ben, Chosen Jacobs (Castle Rock) as Mike, Jack Dylan Grazer (Shazam!) as Eddie, and Wyatt Oleff (Guardians of the Galaxy) as Stan — bring so much heart and authenticity to the story. We laughed and cried with the Losers’ Club as they formed their bond, but screamed and hid from Pennywise every time he appeared. Lorie absolutely hated Pennywise’s teeth, while I couldn’t even deal with his eyes — honestly, I hate everything about him. The projector scene, the bathroom blood sequence, and the final showdown in the sewers had us both on edge.
