Minimal Ambient w/ microKORG S, Field Kit & DC MOTOR : Spinning wire 2025-08-28 by atnr

A piece created with ‪@KORG_INC‬ microKORG S, ‪@KOMAelektronik‬ Field Kit, and monotron DELAY. Minimal ambient where synth tones resonate alongside hi-hat sounds generated from the vibrations of a DC motor sequenced by the SQ-1 and captured with a piezo mic. The SQ-1 sends CV to the Field Kit, which drives the DC motor to strike a cymbal. A wire is fixed to the tip of the DC motor with tape. A piezo mic is placed between the hi-hats, capturing the sound and feeding it into the Field Kit’s mixer. The Field Kit’s AUX is connected to the monotron DELAY, adding delay and filtering to the cymbal sounds. The microKORG S produces synth tones using its arpeggiator, synced to the SQ-1’s BPM.
