The Martian Chronicles Re-Imagined - The Silver Locusts Chapter 1 "Ylla"

A re-imagining of the TV movie "The Martian Chronicles" originally shown in 1980, based upon the 1950 Ray Bradbury novel "The Silver Locusts". Unfortunately, the original movie, in three parts, is long, bloated and, as Ray Bradbury himself said at the time, boring (perhaps unfairly but it does drag on at times). In an attempt to do The Martian Chronicles justice, I have re-edited the movie so that it follows the book a bit more faithfully, speeds up the action, improves the pacing and removes many of the underwhelming special effects. It also means taking out a lot of the movie that either wasn't in the book or was just filler. Often, several chapters in the book were merged in to one or split across multiple scenes so I have done my best to restore them as Ray Bradbury intended.
