"In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Bayer is proud to present a LinkedIn Live event hosted by its Radiology team, featuring a panel including patient advocates and experts. Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women globally. And according to the World Health Organization, it impacts 2.3 million patients each year. Early detection is crucial to improve the success of the treatment. Join us for this event. Our panel with cancer survivors, advocates and experts will share their perspectives on: -The role of early detection in treatment -Risk factors for women to develop breast cancer -Potential diagnostic options to supplement mammography in case of risk factors -The patient perspective: breast cancer survivors share the impact of a diagnosis, and explain why education matters Our goal is to inspire an open dialog about the topic across women, referrers and radiologists. This event will help encourage and empower women to talk about their potential risk factors and the imaging modalities available, and support them to make informed decisions together with their health care professionals. The lineup for the event is as follows: // Moderator: Dr. Melinda Crane // Dr. Zuzana Jirakova Trnkova, Head of Medical Affairs and Clinical Development Radiology, Bayer // Maimah Karmo, Founder and CEO, Tigerlily Foundation (US breast cancer foundation) // Lisa Johnson, patient advocate // Prof. Christiane Kuhl, RWTH Aachen University, Germany // Dr. Cynthia Villarreal-Garza: Breast Cancer Center TecSalud, Monterrey, Mexico"
