Completing the installation of the new bulkheads, lateral supports, battery mount, and Place Diverter mount signifies the end of the woodworking stage of this jet boat rebuild. Finally! Since I moved the location of my stringers outwards, that necessitated some rework of the bulkheads. Rather than rework the existing bulkheads, I created more work for myself and made new ones. The existing bulkheads needed to be up to my standards! Now I took this opportunity to revamp the philosophy of all the woodwork and structure in the boat. I moved the main bulkhead rearwards and added an additional bulkhead in the front to support the bow. The spacing and location of the bulkheads ties in with my approach on my "engine box" and lateral supports. During the video, I explained my reasoning for why and what I was trying to achieve. The last tasks that I had to complete in the "woodworking" category were to build a provision for a battery mount, develop a mount for the Place Diverter hydraulic pump, and finally finish the rear fuel tank mounting blocks on the transom.
