Since the conclusion of Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans have been demanding that Sony give Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man a sequel film. While this could take place before or after the events of No Way Home, after would provide the opportunity for characters from other universes to enter the Sony/Marvel universe, including an alternate version of Gwen Stacy. While Gwen, played by Emma Stone, died tragically in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, her return as Spider-Gwen would match her role in Marvel Comics. An alternate Spider-powered Gwen Stacy appeared in Marvel's Edge of Spider-Verse in 2014.
