The Hardened Water Tender Vehicle is a modification of a fire truck for high-capacity firefighting. It is designed for use in difficult terrain conditions and environments with a high degree of risk for vehicle operators, chassis and firefighting technology. Its design allows it to be deployed in places where there is a possibility of unexploded ordnance, in places where there is a possibility of pressure cylinders and containers, in elimination of the consequences of terrorist attacks, in chemical and petrochemical plants, in widespread natural, especially forest fires, in reconnaissance and surveillance in a contaminated environment and, if necessary, in rescue operations. The vehicle design protects vehicle operators, firefighting technologies and the landing gear parts necessary for driving, in particular the air distribution system, fuel line, oil fillers and wiring system. The driver's cabin is resistant to mechanical damage at ballistic protection level 2 (2a/b according to STANAG 4569) against the effects of environmental pollution, including chemical, petroleum or toxic substances, war poisoning and biological agents. The specially constructed body shell of the superstructure has increased resistance to mechanical damage, especially when passing through forest vegetation or building debris.
