Albertine Sarges' new single - Free Today - taken from her debut album The Sticky Fingers, out on Moshi Moshi Records on 29th January: http://moshimoshi.plctrmm.to/Albertine Described by Albertine Sarges as a “one-take-recording in every sense” Free Today is liberated mu-sic for liberated souls. The opening track of her forthcoming debut album, it opens with a paragraph from feminist thinker Sara Ahmed and progresses to freeform danceable pop, alive with improvisa-tion and invention. In the music video for Free Today the band gathers in an East German village in Brandenburg. Themes of theory and literature, societal norms and the bathing of the body get dis-played during this weird corona affected empty summer of 2020. The video was commissioned by Down By The River Festival.
