But as a passionate restorer, I couldn’t leave it behind! I knew this antique tool had a history and deserved a second chance. So, I decided to rescue and restore it to its former glory. What Is a Tile Lifter Hand Jack? A Tile Lifter Hand Jack is a mechanical tool used for lifting and positioning heavy tiles, flooring materials, and construction elements. These vintage jacks were built to last, but after years of neglect, rust had taken over. My goal was to restore this classic tool and make it functional again. The Full Restoration Process: Initial Inspection – I carefully examined the tool, identifying which parts were broken, stuck, or missing. The lifting mechanism was completely seized due to rust.
