Third single from "The Order of Things", our first EP, out now on all streaming platforms. Through the melancholic notes of Opal Light, Hexabrot investigate the involved relation between a sorrowful mother and her criminal son. The dialogue faces the burden of irreversibility, where the slightest shade of hope is suffocating. When heated, the light of an opal can fade, representing the inevitable disintegration of faith between the mother and the son. The desperate internal self-punishment sung by Nicola is alternated with the ethereal yet inflexible voice of guest vocalist Giulia Rabozzi, being able to elevate the theme of the song to a metaphor for the whole humankind asking mother Nature for forgiveness. Lyrics: Egoism and violence, my biggest sins and only now I'm aware forgive me, mother. My son, you were my pride, my brightest light so much destruction, I've spawned, through you. The ceiling, night and day, is all I see, my only friend grey, brown, white, black, the colors I left if I only could wind back the clock... My son, you were my pride, my brightest light so much destruction, I've spawned, through you. Disruption! Pain! Murder! Vile torment! Rotten hopes! Some things, can’t be repaired Universe goes on life ends my opal light is fading and you will fade with it. Blinded with thirst, never enough, but why, and at what cost? I'm your great mistake forgive me, mother. Under your sight but I always followed my instinct falling apart just as this world, simply condemned. Disorder! Death! Chaos! Vile torment! Rotten dreams! Some things, can't be repaired Universe goes on life ends my opal light is fading and you will fade with it. - Hexabrot are: Nicola Miceli - Vocals Samuele Forte - Guitars Paolo Jansen - Guitars Gael Finauri - Bass Mattia Caporrella - Drums Music and video production by @samaudioyt (Samuele Forte) Mastering by @docetstudio3482 Released by @aenimarecordings
