East Meadow, NY (January 2013) Retired U.S. Olympians and NHLers, Ferraro Brothers Hockey founders Peter and Chris Ferraro, along with partners Ronald and Joel Friedman, have joined forces to form Twin Rinks at Eisenhower, LLC. In conjunction with Nassau County, they are pleased to offer a animated look at the upcoming construction of their state-of-the art Ice Center at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, NY. The Ferraro Brothers Ice Center is expected to attract thousands of people from various age groups and vast demographics as they attend events at the center. The facility will contain two NHL-sized rinks and an outdoor recreational hockey rink (three rinks in total). This will enable Ferraro Brothers Hockey to focus on player development, conduct tournaments, offer Alumni Player Fantasy Camps, play Celebrity and charity games, keep professional players here during the off season since they'll be able to practice, as well as attract college scouts who know Peter and Chris Ferraro personally. These LI natives will also offer the area's premier youth hockey experience for Mites, Squirts, Pee Wees, Bantams, Midgets and Juniors. Peter and Chris Ferraro, who became the second set of identical twins to play on the same NHL team, the New York Rangers in the 1995--96 season, learned the game while playing alongside many all-time greats including Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, Brian Leetch, Pat LaFontaine and Jaromir Jagr. They have developed a uniquely designed on-ice program to educate players of all ages and skill levels in an encouraging and enthusiastic environment. "It is our passion to support Long Island families so that they will no longer have to be torn apart or have their family life disrupted just because a child excels in hockey and wants to try to make it to the NHL," said Chris Ferraro, Ferraro Brothers Hockey Founder. "This facility will enable us to create a hockey hot bed right here on Long Island."
