Clinical History: ①Accidental ingestion: Ingested 10 tablets of Meloxicam (Movatec 15 mg/tab) two weeks prior to admission. ②Symptoms at admission: Hematemesis, melena, severe depression, abdominal pain, severe anemia (HCT 16%) due to NSAIDs induced gastric ulceration and gastric hemorrhage. ③Hospitalization: Admitted for 5 days, underwent blood transfusion. Post-hospitalization symptoms: Frequent vomiting (3-4 times/day, 3-12 hours after meals), partially digested food or gastric fluids. Unresponsive to common antiemetic treatment and low-fat diet. ④Treatment attempts: Administered maropitant, metoclopramide, lansoprazole, sucralfate, liquid diet (canned food diluted in warm water). ⑤Persistent vomiting: Continued even after treatment, necessitating further interventions. ⑥WBC increase: Marked increase in WBC count (neutrophilia) led to administration of Amoxycillin/Clavulanic acid at 15 mg/kg bid sc for 1 week. ⑦Cobalamin supplementation: Administered at a dosage of 1mg on a weekly sc injection for 4 weeks. ⑧Clinic admission: No signs of hematemesis or melena observed upon admission to the clinic.
