But then a single conversation with my pharmacy mentor changed everything: “The medicine helps them feel better, but they never actually get better. The system is designed to help sick people, not prevent them from getting sick.” Something clicked. I realized I didn’t want to spend my career masking symptoms. I wanted to help people stay healthy in the first place. I went down the rabbit hole, researching the best career path to help achieve my goal. And that’s when I discovered naturopathic medicine. In med school, I met Alex — my now wife and partner in life and practice. We bonded over our shared frustrations with the current healthcare system and a vision for something better. We knew we wanted to build a different kind of practice... One that offered the level of care we felt was missing in the world. A place that prioritized prevention, focused on optimizing health, and empowered patients to become the best versions of themselves.
