পুরো রমজান মাসে সরকারি-বেসরকারি নিম্ন মাধ্যমিক ও মাধ্যমিক স্কুল বন্ধ রাখতে হাইকোর্টের নির্দেশ—এই সিদ্ধান্ত ঘিরে দেশজুড়ে শুরু হয়েছে ব্যাপক আলোচনা। বিচারপতি ফাহমিদা ও বিচারপতি মো. আসিফ হাসানের হাইকোর্ট বেঞ্চ রবিবার (১৫ ফেব্রুয়ারি) এ আদেশ দেন। এর আগে পবিত্র রমজান মাসে শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান বন্ধ রাখার নির্দেশনা চেয়ে হাইকোর্টে রিট করেন সুপ্রিম কোর্টের আইনজীবী মো. ইলিয়াছ আলী মন্ডল। তিনি শিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়ের সচিব এবং প্রাথমিক ও গণশিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়ের সচিবকে আইনি নোটিশ পাঠান। নোটিশে বলা হয়, বাংলাদেশের অধিকাংশ নাগরিক মুসলমান এবং স্বাধীনতার পর থেকে রমজান মাসে শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান বন্ধ রাখার প্রচলিত প্রথা রয়েছে। সংবিধানের ৩১ ও ১৫২ অনুচ্ছেদের আলোকে রমজানে স্কুল খোলা রাখার সিদ্ধান্তকে অসাংবিধানিক দাবি করা হয়। রিটে আরও উল্লেখ করা হয়, রোজা রেখে কোমলমতি শিক্ষার্থীদের নিয়মিত স্কুল কার্যক্রম চালানো কষ্টসাধ্য হয়ে পড়ে এবং এতে ধর্মীয় অনুশীলনে বাধা সৃষ্টি হতে পারে। হাইকোর্টের এই নির্দেশ বাস্তবায়নে এখন সংশ্লিষ্ট মন্ত্রণালয়ের পদক্ষেপের দিকে তাকিয়ে রয়েছে দেশবাসী। সর্বশেষ আপডেট পেতে ভিডিওটি শেষ পর্যন্ত দেখুন এবং চ্যানেলটি সাবস্ক্রাইব করুন। The High Court has ordered that all government and private lower secondary and secondary schools remain closed throughout the holy month of Ramadan, sparking nationwide discussion. The High Court bench comprising Justice Fahmida and Justice Md. Asif Hasan issued the directive on Sunday (February 15). Earlier, Supreme Court lawyer Md. Ilias Ali Mondol filed a writ petition seeking closure of schools during Ramadan. A legal notice was sent to the Secretary of the Ministry of Education and the Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education. The petition argued that since the majority of Bangladesh’s population is Muslim and there has been a long-standing practice of closing educational institutions during Ramadan, keeping schools open contradicts constitutional provisions, particularly Articles 31 and 152.The nation now awaits further steps from the concerned ministries regarding implementation of the High Court’s directive.
