Johnston ▪︎Re-arranged by Peter Steele ¤¤¤ ▪︎Peter Steele - Vocals, Bass and Keyboards ▪︎Kenny Hickey - Guitar and Vocals ▪︎Josh Silver - Keyboards and Vocals ▪︎Johnny Kelly - Drums and Vocals (Collectively known as Type O Negative) ¤¤¤ This track was created by Type O Negative in 2002 at the request of World Wrestling Entertainment. The WWE asked the band to create new theme music for their dark, almost demonic character, Kane. The WWE invited the band to their headquarters in Connecticut where they briefed Type O Negative on the wrestler's history, showing them clips and providing them with his previous theme music for them to expand on. The plan was for Kane to debut his entrance music in a big return at SummerSlam 2002. Peter Steele took the job very seriously and worked extremely hard to create updated theme music that represented what the Kane character was all about and was very much in the Type Q Negative style. Peter was extremely proud of final track. The WWE was also pleased with the song. Unfortunately, at the last minute, the WWE decided to go in a different direction with the character, moving away from the dark and evil Kane, to a more family friendly version that eventually included comedic elements. As a result, the very dark sounding Type O Negative theme was never used on WWE TV. Nonetheless, Peter Steele was very proud of the track and decided to release it in Europe as a bonus track on the limited edition of 'Life Is Killing Me' and the track became somewhat of a hit for the band. ¤¤¤ 'Life Is Killing Me' [Limited Edition] June 17th, 2003 ℗ 2003 The All Blacks B.V. © 2003 The All Blacks B.V.
