#superiorhikingtrail #lakesuperior #hikingtrails #virtualhike #nationalscenictrail This hike follows approximately the first half of the Western Fox Farm Road (Sucker River) Trailhead to Eastern Fox Farm Road Trail section of the Superior Hiking Trail (SHT). This was recorded on an extremely windy day. The hiss you hear throughout much of the video is the leaves rustling in the forest canopy far above your head. The wind was consistently in the 20 to 30 mph range, blowing out of the northeast off Lake Superior, for much of the hike. From the West Fox Farm Road Trailhead, we follow an access trail that crosses Sucker Creek and continues for about 0.7-miles mostly uphill until it intersects with the main Superior Hiking Trail. Access trails and spur trails along the SHT have white paint blazes on the trees. The main SHT trail is blue-blazed. The temperature during this hike was between 60 and 65 degrees. The humidity was about average for this time of year. As mentioned above, it was very breezy. The sky was partly cloudy and hazy with smoke. The hike began about 12:15 PM.
