After leaving Wanlockhead it was a short distance on a well trodden path up to "The Lowther Dome and Mushrooms". A sweep around a series of hill tops before descending through forest across a valley floor to the Daer Reservoir. We reached the half way marker post before the reservoir, before another up and around a few more hill tops and then down to our bothy, hidden behind a 0.3mile mushy tight path.
